Developing Regions

The Developing Regions program represents the Foundation’s commitment towards supporting the development of new Chinese Studies programs in regions that have only recently launched such undertakings, as well as enhancing international scholarly exchange. This program is limited to countries in Eastern and Central Europe, Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, and Central Asia. All applications will be reviewed by a committee consisting of scholars familiar with the academic environments in the regions covered by the program.

Grant types include Lecture Series Grants, Research Grants, Conference and Seminar Grants, Library Acquisition Grants and Mobility Grants. Full-time faculty and graduate students are welcome to apply. For details, please see below:

The Foundation will give priority to collaborative projects with counterparts in Taiwan.
