Singapore Trade Office in Taipei Deputy Trade Representative Mr. Timothy Seow and Ms. Pui Jeng Tong visited the Foundation, and held discussions with Chief Secretary Tsui-yin Sung. Chief Secretary Sung shared some amusing anecdotes between Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew and then Premier Chiang Ching-kuo, and also mentioned that the Foundation’s fifth Overseas Sinological Center will soon be established at the National University of Singapore, the “CCKF-NUS Southeast Asia Centre for Chinese Studies,” to foster Sinology and overseas Chinese studies in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, and to support a wide range of academic exchanges.
