Visiting Professorships
This grant is to support short-term visits of international scholars who will give lectures or classes. Expenses covered include transportation, honoraria, and per diem expenses.
It is preferable that the visiting professor should lecture in more than one country.
All applications must include the following items, in the order listed below:
Project abstract (approximately 500 words).
Detailed, itemized budget where an applicant should state all expected expenses.
Detailed project description of no more than 7 pages.
Letter of endorsement from project director's institute.
Detailed CV of the invited professor.
Beginning on August 1, 2011, the Foundation will begin to accept electronic applications for this type of grant. Applications must be submitted to our online application database. E-mail and paper applications will not be accepted. Applications may be submitted every year from August 1 (to start the application process, please click here).
The application period for this type of grants is from August 1 to November 15. Applications after November 15 will not be accepted.
The Foundation will initially direct all messages and correspondence about the applications to respective project directors. Written critiques will not be provided for proposals submitted to the Foundation.
A list of grant recipients will be announced in late May of the year following the November deadline.
